About the Role

We are looking for a Graduate QA Engineer to join our QA team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical education who is looking to start their career in software quality assurance.

You will work closely with experienced QA Engineers, Software Engineers and Product Managers to ensure the quality of our platform. You'll gain hands-on experience testing web applications, APIs, integrations and new product features while developing your technical and automation skills.

This is a hybrid role, and candidates must be able to attend the office on the required in-office days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute manual testing of new features, enhancements and bug fixes.

  • Create, maintain and execute test cases.

  • Perform functional, regression, smoke and exploratory testing.

  • Validate bug fixes and verify reported issues.

  • Review product designs and specifications, providing QA feedback early in the development lifecycle.

  • Contribute to performance testing activities.

  • Test different areas of the platform, including the core platform, Gamification, Loyalty and third-party integrations.

  • Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis and clearly document defects in Jira.

  • Work closely with developers, Product Managers and designers to understand requirements and expected behaviour.

  • Research features independently and make informed testing decisions to ensure a high-quality product.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Learn and contribute to API and UI automation testing using modern testing tools.

This is a hybrid role, requiring office attendance in our Dublin office (2 days a week). #LI-Hybrid

Your Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical discipline.

  • Ability to attend the office on the required in-office days.

  • Product-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building high-quality software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Technical Knowledge

A good understanding of:

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).

  • Basic software testing concepts, including different testing types such as smoke, regression, functional and exploratory testing.

  • REST APIs and HTTP methods.

  • JSON.

  • Version control using Git.

  • Basic programming or scripting knowledge (preferably JavaScript).

  • Browser Developer Tools.

Exposure to any of the following would be an advantage:

  • Playwright.

  • Postman.

  • SQL and relational databases.

  • CI/CD concepts.

  • Jira or similar issue tracking tools.
